The late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr ruled the country for 21 years, until he was ousted nearly four decades ago. During his regime, thousands were detained, tortured and killed under Martial Law, and the family allegedly stole billions from government coffers. Yet in May, his son and namesake, Ferdinand Marcos Jr, won the presidency by a landslide. We find out why and how it happened.
