The Talk – Alanis Morissette Gets Ahead of Postpartum; Sara Gilbert Relates; ‘It’s hard’

The hosts discuss Alanis Morissette preparing herself for postpartum depression again with her third pregnancy. Sara Gilbert reveals her personal experience and shares, “I kind of got it a little bit both times, but thinking, the second time, kind of what she did, I’m going to be aware, and I’m going to expect it. But I’m not sure it made it much better. You think you’re going to be prepared or you’re going to be able to do something about it, and it sort of just had to run its course with me in a way.” Carrie Ann Inaba asks, “Does it feel like a heaviness?” Gilbert answers, “Heavy, yeah, and it’s hard because you also have a new baby which is a big responsibility. So you have your energy be down and have that, it’s a difficult combination.”
