During the past two years, Goldin Auctions has sold some of the most desirable and unique Tupac Shakur memorabilia ever offered at auction, but few compare to the marquee item up for bids in the Goldin Auctions 2018 Spring Premium Live & Catalog/Online Auction which is open for bidding through May 5 at GoldinAuctions.com.

Goldin Auction is proud to offer for sale the only known complete Tupac Shakur hand-written composition notebook.  The Mead composition book is the only known full Tupac Shakur notebook in existence, as all other examples are fragments in the form of individual pages or front and back covers. The front cover has “Written by Tupac Shakur” in black pen and is packed full of incredible sets of working lyrics, including drafts of “How Do U Want It” and “Shorty Wanna Be A Thug”. There is also an assortment of hand-written track listings for several albums including “Me Against the World” and the Outlawz, a group with Shakur and several friends. The book also features hand-written poems, the draft of an award acceptance speech, doodles, drawings and more. It comes with a LOA from JSA and a Letter of Provenance from the family of a band member and friend.  Images and a more detailed description of the  notebook is available in the auction catalog

“His remarkable life, which included a spectacular song and film catalog, a meteoric rise to stardom and tragic death, makes Tupac one of the most collected artists in the industry,” said Ken Goldin, Founder of Goldin Auctions. “This notebook is truly the centerpiece of any authentic Tupac Shakur collection and as a result we would not be surprised if it sold for six figures.”

In addition to the notebook, the Tupac Shakur Collection includes four other lots: Lot #74 – “Runnin’ On E” hand-written song lyrics; Lot #75 “Too Late Playa” hand-written song lyrics; Lot #76 – “Last word 2” hand-written song lyrics; Lot #77 – Tupac Signed & “Peace” inscribed t-shirt. All of the Tupac items will be sold in the online auction. The corresponding live auction is scheduled for April 28 at the NYY Steakhouse in New York City.

The deadline for consigning an item to the company’s next internet-only auction is May 15.   The consignment deadline for the Goldin Auctions Summer Premium & Live Auction is May 31. To consign an item, visit GoldinAuctions.com or email info@GoldinAuctions.com.
