After two days of silence, the Vatican and Pope Francis have finally responded to Tuesday’s devastating Pennsylvania grand jury report detailing decades of sexual abuse at the hands of Catholic priests in the state. “The abuses described in the report are criminal and morally reprehensible,” the Vatican said in a statement.
