Young buck, WES PERIOD is building some serious buzz throughout the SoCal region for bringing a fresh energy to LA’s Hip Hop scene. His unique swag and style, which has been compared to Danny Brown and Shamir, is now beginning to get national recognition – with a little help from Marc Jacobs’ new campaign for “Marc the Sun,” which features Wes. The track, which The FADER describes as “A bright and befittingly bubbly toast to the upswing his life has taken in recent times,” was produced by Lovelife and chronicles Wes’ upwards trajectory in the rap game.
Wes Period exploded onto the scene in 2011 with his Friendly Fires EP, and has maintained an audience of observers with consistently well-received new music. He’s also spent time DJing, producing, and collaborating with artists like Fat Tony, Jez Dior, Lovelife, Mystery Skulls, Olivver The Kid, and The Heavytrackerz. Wes recently produced Jez Dior’s “The Line.”
