Rich Slave is Young Dolph’s Highest Charting Album Ever On The Billboard 200
Paper Route EMPIRE Founder and CEO Young Dolph recently shared Rich Slave, his first solo album in two years. It’s not only his most emotional, political album yet, but his highest-charting album ever on the Billboard 200 chart. In its first week, Rich Slave moved 65,000 units, is the #1 debut of the week at #4 on the Billboard Top 200, and is the #1 independent album.
PAPER Magazine praised the album in an interview with Young Dolph last week, “Rich Slave is the kind of adventurous LP that you make when you have full artistic autonomy. Dolph says that half of it was recorded prior to the pandemic, and then the lockdown ‘forced him to be more creative’ with the rest. ‘I had fun with all aspects of it, trying to give people a real reason to check it out,’ he says.” For more on Dolph speaking on the album, police brutality, and the plight of being a Black man in America, check out the full interview here.
