EP STREAM: YOUNGR RELEASES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ‘OBSESSION’ EP [Audio]

Following from previous smashes ‘Ooh Lordy’ ‘Drive’ and ‘Lost in Translation’, Youngr brings his magic again with newly announced 4 track EP, ‘Obsession’.

Lead title track ‘Obsession’ is an exploration of the sound that Youngr was initially famed for when creating his bootlegs and remixes. While comfortably sitting in a pop-leaning arena, the sound of this new body of work is slightly darker in sound and is bursting with pure musicality – something that Youngr is never short of. ‘Obsession’ proves Youngr is a man on a mission as well as an undeniable star on the rise. On the EP, he comments “With Obsession I wanted to focus on the dance side of Youngr and that naturally made things a little darker. The lyrics are about how we all have our obsessions whether that is a lifestyle, a person or even social media.”

Hailing from Manchester, Youngr grew up writing and performing music under the guidance of his father, (the legendary August Darnell aka Kid Creole & The Coconuts). Renowned for his accolade of bootlegs and reworks, Youngr has created a sound that is uniquely his own. His live video of the ‘Sweet Disposition’ bootleg soared to reach 15 million views in just two weeks, with over 100K shares.

Since breaking through last year with self-released debut single ‘Out Of My System’, Youngr’s global fan base has multiplied at an explosive rate, currently reaching 140k Facebook fans and a further 100K across YouTube, Twitter and Instagram, as well as racking up more than 70 million Global streams and 40 million Global video views.

Youngr has played across 30 countries this summer to some of the biggest crowds to date which has set him up for his worldwide headline tour which is now on sale.
