Yvette Cooper questions PM on ‘baffling’ Brexit tariff plan – Daily Mail

Theresa May today repeated her warning that ‘no deal is better than a bad deal’ – as she admitted that some of her Brexit plan might not be ready in time. The Prime Minister tried to fend off claims that her controversial Brexit proposal is ‘baffling’ – but she struggled to explain how her customs plans would actually work. And she revealed her plans for the EU to collect tariffs for the UK and vice versa might not be ready before the UK fully leaves the bloc, after the transition period, in December 2020. Mrs May made the admission as she was grilled by senior MPs sitting on the Liaison Committee amid a Tory civil war over her Chequers plans – which are also known as the facilitated customs arrangement And as her proposal was being dissected by MPs on the committee, Boris Johnson issued a bold pitch for her job in a fiery resignation speech in the House of Commons Chamber.

'We thought it wasn't real': say Thai cave boys of rescuers - Daily Mail

Wed Jul 18 , 2018
Twelve Thai soccer players and their coach have spoken about being trapped inside a flooded cave for more than two weeks for the first time since leaving hospital. Adun Sam-On, 14, revealed the moment he first heard two British divers talking as they entered the cavern where they boys were hiding, saying he ‘didn’t believe it was real’ at first. The boys also spoke of how they survived on water dripping from the ceiling but were forced to go without food until being discovered 10 days after getting trapped. They boys were also able to play football for the first time since being rescued on a miniature pitch set up for them and their friends (bottom right).
