The XXXTentacion Foundation and EMPIRE presented the experience of a lifetime with the SKINS Album Release Party at RC Cola Plant in Miami during Art Basel. The event was a celebration of the life and legacy of modern music icon XXXTentacion on the eve of the release of his first posthumous album SKINS – available now via Bad Vibes Forever/EMPIRE. West brought down the house with an explosive performance, which included an animated video premiere of his SKINS banger “One Minute” and “Father Stretch My Arms” among others, while Wayne ignited a singalong on his tearful rendition of Tha Carter V standout and XXXTentacion collaboration, “Don’t Cry,” “Uproar” and more. XXXTentacion‘s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, Noreaga, Zoey Dollaz, and Tee Grizzly were in attendance along with a sea of devout fans.During the night, YEEZY also debuted a 3-piece merch capsule, printed on YEEZY blanks, featuring graphics by JJ Villard, which sold out immediately at the event. Additionally, Bravado curated a limited-edition “SKINS” collection inspired by the album exclusively available at the show. More styles were released Friday, 12/7 at 12am EST at WWW.SHOPXXXTENTACION.COM bundled with a digital copy of the album, along with a vinyl edition of the album. Attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy a mural art walk, complimentary “SKINS” temporary tattoos and a unique photo experience in the immersive event space.
XXXTentacion remains the voice of his generation. In 2017, he unleashed his debut 17, which bowed at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 and went RIAA platinum. Less than six months later, his second album, ?, bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, went platinum, yielded 5.2 billion global streams, and achieved sales of 3.2 million global equivalent albums. Among its stacked track listing, the record boasted “SAD!” (4x-platinum), “MOONLIGHT” (2x-platinum), and “CHANGES”(2x-platinum). In 2018, the BET Hip Hop Awards crowned him “Best New Hip Hop Artist” as 17 earned “Favorite Album – Soul/R&B” at the American Music Awards. He can count Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Camila Cabello, and Academy® Award winner Jamie Foxx amongst his supporters and admirers as well. His influence and impact only continue to grow.
